Quan Ngua Sports Palace is a large-scale multi-purpose sports facility invested in by the Ba Dinh District People’s Committee. Spanning 11,415 m², the project is oriented towards achieving LOTUS Gold certification, meeting stringent requirements for energy efficiency and indoor environmental quality.
Technical solutions were implemented synchronously, ranging from the building envelope design to the M&E systems. As a result, the project achieved a 72.37% reduction in operational energy compared to the baseline—a record-breaking efficiency level for LOTUS-certified buildings in Vietnam.
Beyond its impressive energy performance, the project successfully:
Apply passive design strategies and specialized materials to enhance acoustic comfort, evaluated based on TCXDVN 277:2002 standards.
Utilize a 100% VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) air conditioning system.
Design a high-efficiency HVAC system with a COP (Coefficient of Performance) at least 30% higher than the requirements of QC 09:2017.
Reduce the OTTV (Overall Thermal Transfer Value) index by 56%, significantly lowering the building’s heat load.
Install a 485 m² solar panel system, meeting approximately 21% of the total electricity demand.
Implement a decorative louver system that effectively shades over 60% of solar radiation.
These results demonstrate EDEEC’s capability in integrating specialized technical solutions, ensuring the project not only meets LOTUS Gold standards but also achieves sustainable long-term operational efficiency.
