The project uses energy simulation to optimize the design of the building, focusing on its envelope and the HVAC system. As a result, the project reduces the energy consumption index from 240kWh/m²/year to 83kWh/m²/year, corresponding to a total of 878MWh of energy saved or 716 tons of CO2 emissions cut per year. In this case, the air conditioning system reduces energy consumption by 74%.
Optimization solutions for the envelope of the building include optimizing the ratio of glass on the walls, using insulating bricks for the envelope, using energy-efficient glass with an SHGC index of 0.37, and using an insulated roof. The optimized engineering system includes: reducing the heat load capacity from 1100kW to 625kW, installing a high-efficiency air conditioning system, installing a heat recovery system, and an energy-efficient lighting system.
